Nice and bright flashlights with unbreakable lightbulbs and a solar battery last a long time. I got this strand because I wanted to replace my current set of Glass Light strands. The light filament is really good quality, the bulbs are plastic which is great because they don't break when the wind hits our railings or headliner. The LEDs are damn bright for solar power - I hung 2 filaments around the perimeter of our 30ft x 10ft deck and they were bright enough to play board games and eat. The flashing modes are useless to us, but I think if you're having a fit that causes vibration, they can be fun. They turn on automatically when it gets dark and seem to run for a very long time - definitely as long as we need - probably 6+ hours in winter. You can also turn them off with the switch on the solar panel/battery. We put ours on the roof so I can't reach it, but it's ok for us. They are located on our upper deck so there is no need to turn them off. All in all a really nice solar powered kit - actually installed and forgot it was set up.
