Ok. Based on reviews here are my suggestions. Buy it if you need to freeze items. Excellent.This cannot absorb or suck up moisture. It will stop working.The bags it came with are VERY hard to open and close. The opening in not wide, long, big? Enough to grip to pull open. My thumbs don't do as I ask any more😑 so.Solutions.Open/ close- use a pair of flat needle nose pliers. You have to depress all the " notches " or air will come into bag. There are " lines " on the blue part of the bag. Make sure EACH ONE SNAPS/CLICKS CLOSED.LIQUID. These bags are washable and reuseable. BUT getting some foods rinsed out well, was a prob for me especially juices. I use produce bags to separate portions of meat or baggies, THEN I place those in the air lock bag, close and seal! No liquid gets sucked into the unit.
