I've had this laptop for a few months now. Here are my pros and cons, especially when the laptop differs from my expectations. Overall, I would definitely recommend this laptop. The screen is excellent. I like the Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. For 15 inches it's a bit cramped and if your eyes get old things might be a bit too small. But overall it's a great screen! Bright, high-contrast, clear. The Solid State Drive and lots of RAM make this very fast. I can't believe how fast it loads. The power button feels weak. This button won't last 10 years if I press it every day. Basically I put it in "sleep mode" when I'm not using it and I can wake it up with any key on my keyboard. I use the real power button for maybe a week or two so hopefully this will extend the lifespan. Sometimes when I put it in "sleep mode" it wakes up by itself. don't understand why. It's probably a setting somewhere. I found that the external USB mouse I plugged in was automatically configured as a device that can wake the laptop from sleep mode when the mouse moves. I turned it off and it reduced the frequency of the laptop waking up, but didn't completely eliminate it. The keyboard is generous for a laptop. has a 10 key on the right side. The layout of some keys isn't what I'm used to, but there are always compromises with laptop keyboards. And the buttons are very convenient. The function keys (F1-F12 above) serve *different* purposes by default (e.g. screen brightness/dimming, volume up/down, etc.) and are used for traditional F1-F12 functions (e.g. F2=rename, F5 =update , etc.) you need to hold down the new "Fn" key with Ctrl/Shift/Alt. I find that a shame because 9 times out of 10 I need the F1-F12 functions and not the others. There are 4 rubber feet on the bottom of the laptop. However, when you fold the screen over, the hinge slides down and actually lifts the laptop off its two rubberized feet. It's obviously intentional, but wow, that's a weird design. The laptop usually sits on a loop at the back and on two rubberized legs at the front. Only two USB ports are a bit disappointing. I immediately purchased two Sabrent 4-port USB hubs, one for each port on the laptop. Now I can run at home, and when traveling I rarely even need two built-in ports. USB 3 speed is definitely a good thing if you have external hard drives or other devices that can handle it! Only one HDMI port (and no other port for an external monitor) makes this laptop difficult to drive two large monitors. I had to end up with an external monitor and a built-in screen, which I don't like because they are so different in size. There are external USB-C "docking stations" that solve this problem, but I haven't tried them.
