Excellent but very bright.

A lot of products use the terms "professional" and "commercial" but these LED lights really seem to last a long time. You can feel its weight as soon as you unpack it, everything is covered with a rubberized surface that withstands the weather. The packaging is straightforward - 48ft spool, box of 15 individually wrapped and boxed LED bulbs, and easy instructions. They're pretty much plug and play to be honest, but there are a few things to note: 1) The strand is 48 feet long with 15 lights. This means there is 3 feet between each bulb and 3 feet at the beginning and end of the thread. This is something to keep in mind because when you join multiple strands together (which you can do since there is a rosette at the end) you have a 6 foot gap. If you're a detail-oriented planner, consider this. 2) The cable has a two-pronged plug (ie no ground wire). This means that it adapts to most power strips, but you have to consider other items that you might want to connect, such as: B. Dimmers and remote controls. 3) LEDs are made of "strong glass" and I would believe it. . The glass even feels a bit soft to withstand bumps and knocks, but it's crystal clear. Because these are vintage style LEDs, the yellow LED "filaments" are easily visible in daylight but still look attractive. 4) It is recommended that the stranded wire be hung from 16 gauge wire or cable or secured with hooks. Considering the weight, don't skimp on cheap mounting options because you want to get it right. I attached the cord over the pergola with cord clamps and stainless steel screws (which really wastes time trying to attach the cord) while I let the bulbs hang between the slats. 5) Most importantly, these lights are very bright. Remember as I just mentioned I mounted mine on a pergola which captures the light much better than say outdoors. As a rule, however, they throw a lot of light. Since they are dimmable, I strongly recommend an outdoor dimmer. I bought SUNYE Max Power 200W Waterproof Daisy Chain Outdoor Remote Control 150ft Range Memory Stepless Dimming IP68 WATERPROOF. UL 3 pin remote control dimmer (ONLY FOR DIMENSION DIMENSION LED BULB) and it was the best decision. I have attached two photos with maximum (100%) and minimum (<25%) settings. I almost always use the minimum setting as it's a nice glow (but still bright). When I have dinner parties I use brighter settings but even 50% is too bright for most applications. I don't know if I can use these lights without a dimmer. 6) I also bought an outdoor Z-Wave module. GE Z-Wave Wireless Smart Lighting Control Outdoor Module, On/Off, Plug-In, Black, Hub required. , 12720, Works with Alexa, Taymac MX3300 One Gang Horizontal In Use Weatherproof Outlet Cover Metal Weatherproof Outlet Cover and Cordsafe Extension Cord Port Covers We've had several torrential downpours and hurricanes and the lanterns have all weathered them impeccably. I expect these lamps will be used for years so I would definitely recommend and buy them again.
