A fun and well made toy. It is 20 inches long and 13 inches wide as per the product specs. There was nothing to assemble, we just took it out of the box, opened the bag of pucks and started playing. It's fun to play with him. My partner and I played three games of shuffleboard and probably a dozen games of hockey. The hockey team is our favorite. We like to do "rapid fire" where you fire three pucks at once. It takes some practice and skill to keep the pucks on the board and then get them where you want them. We both threw pucks overboard a few times as we got used to the game. So if you have young children, this may not be good for them. Washers also pose a choking hazard, ranging in size from a nickel to a quarter. It requires no batteries - it runs solely on the energy of rubber. Elastic cord from a craft store, probably found in the sewing department. (Every time I get something, I remember to fix the most fragile parts so I'll be ready when that happens.)
