This thing does what it's supposed to and I love being able to suck up the gravel without removing the water. it said. It's so incredibly cheap and poorly made. The switch doesn't work at all. It's either on or off depending on whether you tighten the lid. The plastic appears to have been trimmed with a planer as it is very thin. I think a sneeze across the room will break it. Mine was covered in industrial goo that I had to rub off. The supplied outlet hose is 14 inches long and therefore not suitable for water changes. It also appears to be made from recycled paper. It didn't cost much so it's not really a waste, but if you buy it you just know it won't last long.
