🌳 Hygger Betta Log: Resin Hollow Tree Trunk Ornament for Betta Fish Tank Decor, Wood House Aquarium Accessories Review

The quality of this strain is excellent. Not only is the detailing great, but there are no jagged edges on the inlets, making it safe to play with long fin fish like Bettas. My fish loves its log and uses all inputs. Would buy again!

I loved the natural, detailed look of this decoration and after much searching I was excited at the prospect of giving my little boy a cute toy to hide in. BUT! There are sharp protrusions on the inside and the edges are razor sharp, I don't risk exposing George to possible cuts, tears or tears on these flimsy fins. No need to try a pantyhose test on this piece, very disappointed to be returned.

I found it too rough and hot for a betta. I had to sand down a lot of the rough edges. I thought since Betta was in the title that would be good. But that's not the case. It's probably great for other fish, I didn't find it suitable for bettas. If a product has Betta in its name, I probably don't need to sand it down or worry about sharp edges. There are smoother ceramic style logs on the market that would be better.

Reading the measurements I was concerned that this log would be tiny, but I was pleasantly surprised! The holes are big enough for fish to crawl through (pygmy gouramis and axolotls can get through). It didn't take long for my fish to start exploring their new den and I'm pretty sure my bumblebee catfish will adopt it as their new home. The inside is smooth, the color is beautiful. If you want a tank that LOOKS natural and you don't have to do the really natural things that require a lot of prep, great. Ideal for a 5-10 liter aquarium. More than that and it will look small unless you make a few. Good hiding place for cichlids, plecostomists etc. Also suitable for stringing live plants or moss. For those buying this for their BETTA. Well, bettas do NOT use hiding spots - unless it's a female about to be killed by a breeding male and why did you leave her in the tank for so

and it made sense that the fish like a little place to hide and have a place where they can avoid the light or just avoid people tapping their fingers on the aquarium , and otherwise they like to swim through various holes in the ornament. I'm happy to say that Nemo loves his aquarium decoration and I think it looks great in his tank. He had no problems with chipped paint or cracked fins due to sharp edges shipping the goods. well packaged and in new condition!

This log is colored and not safe for fish! My Betta was in excellent health, some time after this magazine was in the tank I noticed he was having some problems. While I usually avoid over-cleaning, I've decided to remove all of the decorations from his tank and clean them. When I removed this log I found that the log was painted and the paint on the underside of the log was blistering and peeling! I did a 100% water change and did NOT put it back in the tank. When I first opened the box containing the "Betta" log, I thought it looked very cute. BUT after working with it and upon closer inspection I found that it has many sharp ends and edges; If you run your finger over the holes, it's razor sharp! I moved "Fred" to the 2.5 gallon Deep Blue Aquarium that now sits on my desk in my home office. Something big enough for Fred, but I have to be realistic with limited "desktop real estate".
