Perfect for plants too

I bought this gravel for my succulents to give the soil extra drainage. Not only are they beautiful, but they are also affordable. Any kind of gravel or plant rock seems to cost twice as much. I love how this gravel looks on my plants and will definitely buy it again.

but I like the color and texture and plan on keeping it.

I accidentally sent kies to my parents' address and only realized my mistake after 15 minutes. By then it was too late to cancel the order because it was shipped so quickly! Now I have double the gravel but I like the color and texture and plan on saving it for another aquarium. (Also, as another reviewer noted, the color isn't as advertised. It's more of a light tan.)

Nice little pebbles for all your needs.

These stream stones were perfect for my air plants. I can see that they work very well in the aquarium too. They are a little smaller than I expected but still great and true to the description. It's my own fault for overlooking the size of the stones, but I was still able to use them. However, this is something to keep in mind when ordering. Photos are included to show how good the quality is and how it worked for me.

Pros
  • Little Competitor
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent inert environments.: Fish and aquatic animals

Delivered well packaged. Fairly clean on arrival but always rinse thoroughly before adding to the aquarium. There are very few damaged stones. It doesn't seem to change the pH of the water in my aquarium. This is a natural product, so the color will not change. The 5 pound bag filled my 5 gallon tank perfectly, although I wish I had a little more. Like other 1-2 pounds. It's just a preference, but you can do without it. Easy to clean with a gravel vacuum. I just reordered for other purposes.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Functionality

Not the whole lot

The gravel is good but the weight of the package isn't 5 pounds. It's not even close. I picked up the package and it just didn't look like Β£5. I kind of ripped it off but it kept bothering me so I pulled out my digital scale and the weight was 4.12 pounds. I use a baking scale and regularly check the accuracy. I don't think the seller packed the gravel but they should know what they are selling. I didn't take 20% off the price then why should I let them reduce me to what I paid for. Buy again…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • So-so

I have not used this gravel for aquariums. I used it as a ground cover for my houseplants. We bought a new plant with fancy organic potting soil and it was causing a HORRIBLE ground mosquito problem. I didn't even know it was a thing. But it was terrible. I've read that covering the bottom with some gravel will solve the problem, and it really does! No more mosquitoes. Not only was the gravel functional, but I think our plants look a lot nicer now! The color of the gravel was exactly like the…

Not what I expected

I was looking for a smoother gravel to keep dwarf measles in my tank. In photos it looks smooth and polished. What I got was regular gravel with jagged edges. If that's what you're looking for, this will probably work great, but it wasn't what I expected based on the pictures and description (and if I have regular gravel, I'll definitely choose a different color than this). We'll try to return this and most likely pick something up at a local store where I can actually see what I'm getting.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Ineffective

Very nice but a bit expensive

Well I really like this pebble and I like how small the pebbles are. BUT I bought a similar pebble from Petsmart for half the price! Petsmart's gravel is slightly coarser but still fine, and much easier to clean than this material. I recommend this if you want something small and natural and don't mind paying double the price. But if you want to save money, just go to petsmart and buy Imaginarium Gravel. I've attached pics of gravel from a Petsmart (in the tank) and then a Spectrastone (in a…

Eh, good. I think (updated)

Well unfortunately this bag of pebbles I received today (quickly I must add) is not at all the quality of the first bag I ordered a few months ago have. I searched up and down the aquarium gravel, tumbled and smooth. I don't like the typical rough look because it's harder to keep clean. And spiny ones on my armored catfish feeders. I would say 25% of them are the same as the regular old rough rocks I might pick up in my gravel driveway lol! In addition, this bag was very dusty. I split the bag…
