I got this for my original Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera so I can capture footage and short videos in the smallest possible size but with great video quality. I love that it comes in silver to complement the black and silver camera body and give the impression that I'm a tourist walking around with a compact camera. Aperture ring so I can now smoothly fade in or out the video in the camera as I shoot and viewers don't "feel" the steps between the numbers on the ring. Another great thing is that the front of the lens is so small that I can buy cheap filters. A variable ND filter is $20 for that size! It's very dated, so if you want a point-and-shoot camera you'll need something else. The advantage of the video shooting I do is that you can get cheaper lenses that could be cheap due to the lack of electronics.
