Review on Converter Adapter Monitor Supports Display by Flavio Scarola

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Inexpensive adapter that does what it is supposed to. No frills, just functionality.

The adapter does exactly what it says it does, it converts your standard output to HDMI. Simple, no fuss, no fuss. Power requirements are so low that the included mini-USB cable can be plugged into the front of the PS2 or used with a wall adapter. Anything that outputs 5V 500mA will do. The picture quality is pretty good. It doesn't scale in my experience, but it does the job well. My only complaint and this is very important to me. Whoever was responsible for the layout of the device was grossly mistaken. . The adapter has a power input connector on the side facing the short end of the console. If you're like me and all your consoles stand upright like a bookshelf, the power cord will interfere with the surface the console is standing on and won't let you put the console down while using the adapter. The power connector could just as easily be placed on the opposite side of the adapter to solve this problem. The only way to combat this is to either buy a mini USB right angle cable or buy another adapter that uses a pigtail to connect to the console itself. I'm deducting a star for that alone. A simple logistical layout issue that prevented it from being a near-perfect product. But if you lay the console down horizontally, that's no problem for you.
