Not bad at all for audio and video accessories

Works no problems but holy scan lines. They can be annoying in the darker areas of games and also when playing Splinter Cell. Do you understand. This may be because I'm playing on a 4k TV. Just saying that Gran Turismo 4 looks amazing in HD. Even non-HD PS2 games look a little cleaner with it. So much so that I don't even use my AV cables anymore.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Don't forget the USB power cable

At first I couldn't get it to work, then I read about Revain and noticed the box included the USB cable needed for power. Plugging the USB cable into the PS2 allowed me to get the image but my second memory card wouldn't load or the drive wouldn't spin up. So I plugged the USB cable into the other system's USB port and immediately everything worked as it should. The picture looks great! Don't FORGET the USB cable and make sure you're using a different USB port that isn't on the PS2.

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Works great.

The only downside I would say is the instructions - they don't tell you what is needed for the conversion part even though you know you need the part and the wire that is provided. Make sure your game console's configuration settings are set to "Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr. Then connect your device. The part itself is otherwise self-explanatory. Connect HDMI to one side of the device and the device to the game console. The included cable powers the unit by plugging into the USB port on the front of the unit.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Negative impression

Powered with USB connector PS2

Certainly bought to connect it to the TV via HDMI. I was going to use a spare USB power adapter to connect the included USB cable, but instead I found I could use the PS2's USB port. As an added benefit, my HDMI connects to an automatic splitter that also has Wii and Blu-ray connected to it. When I turn on my PS2 using the power button on the front, the USB ports power up this HDMI adapter and therefore cause my HDMI auto splitter to switch to the appropriate input. Not sure if using a power…

Only flaw: Video Converter

Everything I saw matches Kali's description. (Thanks for your understanding, by the way!) The adapter works great and delivers a crisp, clear picture - much better than RCA or component connections. didn't give five stars) it's because the USB port on the dongle faces to the left, which means it faces down when you want to use the console upright. This prevents me from using the console upright with the adapter installed because the handle of the USB cable extends beyond the left (or bottom)…

The only drawback

Everything I've seen is exactly as described by Kali. (By the way, thanks for your understanding!) The adapter does exactly what it says it does, it converts your standard output to HDMI. Simple, no fuss, no fuss. Power requirements are so low that the included mini-USB cable can be plugged into the front of the PS2 or used with a wall adapter. Anything that outputs 5V 500mA will do. The picture quality is pretty good. It doesn't scale in my experience, but it does the job well. My only complaint and this is very important to me. Whoever was responsible for the layout of the device was…

Works well. highlighted.

This adapter is a good solution to connect your PS2 to a modern flat screen TV. It converts stereo audio and component video into an HDMI signal. It outputs 480i and is compatible with NTSC (Japan/US) games. I tried several PAL (EU) games and the resolution was not compatible with my TV, other TVs may give different results. As for the picture quality. For what the PS2 puts out, it's very good! The resolution is pretty low compared to today's content, but it felt like a PS2. The sound quality…
