Review on Vensim by Chad Carter

Very useful analysis tool that can handle very complex models with ease! The model-building process was straightforward, intuitive &"somewhat". I think they could add some more options to customize your view from within the Model Design window or in the results screen itself. Some of the functions aren't available if you have a small screen (not sure at which point it starts). Also there are two ways to save/load a specific version of the model i.e., saving only your changes to an existing base case or also loading just one part of a saved state. For someone who has experience using other tools like excel would find this user friendly too and will get used to all its features as their use becomes wider and wider. This is not the best tool but has got many good qualities as well; I recommend people give this a shot because most times when we look at our analysis reports we see a lot of unnecessary things written. We try to understand factors contributing to growth by modeling. With this we make better decisions regarding marketing strategies which in turn help us improve customer loyalty, retain customers and provide better service. It's easy to use, has many features that are very useful in my work, it can be used as an analytical tool or simulator of processes with high levels of complexity (such as those related to manufacturing industries). The interface could have been improved. I think this would make it easier to learn how to operate. Great product! I recommend using it because it helps me solve problems related to decision making, which is one of our main objectives at work.
