I don't usually have eyestrain so can't tell if they get rid of it but I can say I've worn them for a while and then taken them off. You may experience slight eye strain for about a minute while your eyes adjust. I really enjoy programming/playing in the dark and this is where they really shine (no pun intended). Taking them off my face feels like the monitor shines deep into my eyes while using them to block most of the light. Pros: Blocks glare/glare. Cons: Slightly smaller than they look in the photo but they still feel comfortable on my oversized head, they're just obviously too small because the thin frame flexes a bit more than the actual width lenses. No travel case is included despite being 4 times more expensive than the Gamma Ray brand. is on amazon. Gamma rays are great because they can be purchased without a prescription and come in a case. Depending on the lighting, I sometimes see my eye reflecting off the lens. Worst of all: I have 20/10 eyesight and can see very well up close. and far away, and they seem to have a very, very mild recipe for it. They have 0.2x magnification per gunnar, so they actually enlarge the text a bit, which might be fine for some people, but not for me. My eyes need time to adjust which makes me nervous because I really strain my eyes when I wear them. That's the last reason I got 3 stars instead of 4. They are definitely best for keeping them at the table when I get up and walk around with them, the elevation gives me a temporary headache in my eyes while looking at things further than a few feet. I will edit this review after a week of use. Ok, I'll update it a day later and change it from 3 to a 4 star rating. Now I don't experience any eye strain as I originally went with them not knowing they had magnification badly ok to look at a little further than the distance from the sofa to the TV. If I leave them on the computer, I'm 100% fine.
