Got this for a 2 year old. Her mother is very careful about germs and washed it in the washer before giving it to the child, even though the label says to hand wash. Then it was air dried and came through everything perfectly intact. As soon as the child received it, she latched onto it and carries it everywhere, one month later. It's very soft and squishy, and colorful. The quality is typical Gund.
