They are waist high but have too much fabric which makes them really "puffy" as another reviewer wrote. The front is ruched and a little cute with pockets, but the back looks like a poodle skirt. They also looked longer to me than in the picture. I have the smallest size so can't exchange it for another to see if that helps. The fabric was thicker than expected and wrinkled badly in the bag. I was expecting it to be softer and drape better. Reference: 5 feet 2 inches, 105-106 pounds, hips 35.5.
