Toyota RAV4 Cargo Bay Lighting Design is ridiculous. They put a small, low-powered lightbulb on the hinge side of the back door. When the door is opened, the light is directed away from the vehicle interior. One of the dumbest designs ever. I bought Alpena Max LED strips to install in the cargo area so I can see there. 24" is a bit of a misnomer, there are actually two 12" strips in the package, not one 24" strip. Actually it was perfect for my purpose. I put a strip on each side of the hold and took it with me connected to the door light. Chain. Now when I open the door the entire cargo area is bathed in bright white light. I would recommend this to anyone who needs good bright LED lighting. Each strip is attached with 3M tape to ensure it stays on adheres to every surface.
