It works and you'll probably need it by the time you're reading this.

I'm using one of these on a 4s lifepo4 pack built with some sketchy Eve lf280 parts I got from a questionable ebay seller. I use these high capacity batteries to replace the lead acid battery I had in my teardrop rig, so durability between charges is incredibly important to me. The BMS I use is the glorified JBD box or Xiaoxing 120a 4s that Overkill Solar sells and their built in balancing circuitry just fights those big cells. Resistance balancing of ultra-high capacity cells requires a bit more resistance than these smaller BMSs. However, I don't believe my lf280 cells are legitimate high quality cells because no matter what I do, they don't stay in balance. This unit allows me to actually get the full advertised capacity of 280Ah from my cells, whereas I used to do my best to get 240Ah as I would inevitably encounter low cell shutdown as one or more of the cells never fully have been charged. I was really impressed. Long story not so short, I just bought 4 more schematics from another schematic supplier that also don't balance (yes I started with top balancing to 3.6v as Will Prowse preached). and its forum. No, large, poor quality "class B" cells won't stay balanced without help) so I'm buying a second active balancer here for my new pack. If I build a third package, guess what? I'm going to start building my package with one of these balancers right away because they just work. If the balancer won't balance my third pack because the cells are already balanced, then it's just an insurance policy. It's nice to find a product that does exactly what it advertises.
