I have used them to connect to my RV's 12 volt wiring to add extra lighting. I found that my grounded soldering iron shorted 12V to ground so I couldn't solder directly to the wiring, which would have been my first choice. The paddle contacts are pressed against the body after crimping, and I had to fold them in half. 20GA wire in red connectors to secure crimp. I'm not sure if my crimping tool isn't compatible with them, but it works with standard quick connectors. The connectors are designed in such a way that they require a cable lug cover for their connection. If you don't install quick release lugs, the connections will fall off the wires within minutes. Bad design but it works if you have all the parts. I need to see how the connections hold up while our facility is in motion.
