The fabric washes well. It has elastic all the way around the edges for a snug fit. The material is a bit thin but but for the price, I would expect that. The size is not correct though. Online it states it fits up to 36" long cushion. My cushion is exactly 36" long and this is about 3" too short. I can still use it, but the sewn corners of the cover are on top of the cushion. For me, it's not that big of a deal because I have it to protect where the dogs lay all the time. If it was on my living room couch or somewhere where it's easily noticed, I would have returned.
