I love the idea behind this product. portable fridge/freezer, on the go, camping, picnic etc. I would give 5 stars if the mounting brackets were better matched to the thin mounting surface. However, this product should never be installed the way I did. To secure it so it doesn't move after I mounted it and routed the wires, I sprayed insulating foam all over the outside of the box, especially in the corners where the box meets the truck's side panel in the fenders . This spray foam adhesive is strong enough to prevent the box from moving or shifting, and it also seals the box and prevents the cable from moving. I understand that this device was not intended to be mounted in a moving vehicle or in the side panel of a pickup truck. But it's a great idea and use for this type of spring loaded socket. Please note that I only gave 2 stars for ease of installation. , but that's primarily due to the way I used the product and not flaws in the design of the product itself. I'm hoping that the manufacturer will now make a version of this box that's specifically designed for sidewall mounting . Collection / moving vehicle.
