I really wanted to like them! They are lightweight, ergonomic, have a storage bag and built-in LED lighting. I'm glad I had to try them before it was too late to return them as their performance was completely disappointing. They transmit almost no power. It's enough to brighten the headlights of a car with a dead battery, but even with a charging car revving up for almost ten minutes, a dead car will never tip over. Went on a heavier cable and was up and running straight away, proving those cables were the problem. These cables are small in diameter, but in the past I've been able to use lighter weight cables where they got hot but at least still worked. They didn't heat, almost didn't heat at all, but they don't make sense because they didn't work. For one, the LEDs flickered a bit. The indicators illuminate when the jaws open and turn off when they return to the closed position. The lights aren't super powerful, but certainly better than nothing and a worthy addition. They use a watch-type flat-disc battery to power the light in each jaw. Since they didn't work like battery cables, I didn't investigate why they were flickering and not on all the time.
