The perfect companion for the Ninja 200. Very bright!

Here's my quick rundown of this light as a working cinematographer. I first had the Ninja 200 and it's a cool little light, but I found I needed more power. Enter the Ninja 400. The CCT range is wider than most flashlights in this form factor or price range. The color is very accurate at both ends of the spectrum of +-<200 Kelvin with a CRI value of 95. Color accuracy is near perfect at +0.8 green, so it tends towards magenta, but I don't see that as a downside. Problem as most LEDs turn green over time so I can see this light lasting a little longer than others. Also, the fan is very quiet, quieter than any other COB flashlight I've owned (that's saying a lot!). The locking knob is serrated and very secure (sometimes tricky to adjust the light) which is good, it can hold very large modifiers with ease. It comes with a remote control and can also be controlled via the Weeylight app (IOS). However, effects for this light source do not work in the application. You can also control it with the controller box and it has a hanging strap that you can attach directly to your light stand. It has a V mount on the back of the controller so you can use battery power, but be careful when using batteries you're limited to 85% of full brightness. It also has DMX in/out on the controller box. The ballast is also hardwired to the power supply so be careful not to damage it as it appears to be proprietary and I'm not sure if a replacement is available. It comes with a new "Hyper" reflector design that focuses the light and increases output, and a quality carrying case that's as durable as other brands and should stand up to on-site travel use. All in all if you want to up your lighting game this is a great light to have in your kit. Minor cons aren't a deal breaker for me as I can use this light to match others in my set and modify it slightly. It's a no-brainer for half the price of other less-powered well-known brands. I can highly recommend this lamp.
