Great price and good light!

Great value for money, good build quality, high performance with some caveats! The app works really well when it works, but a couple of times it didn't work for me. Nominal kelvins don't match true kelvins in many situations, but I haven't done any scientific testing. It works fine for me. I wish there was an extra hole to attach an umbrella.

  • Crossing my fingers

  • Everything is fine

Professional flashlight priced at

This flashlight is surprisingly good, especially for the money. uses locking XLR connectors and the color range is wider than most other dual color lamps. Color accuracy isn't as good as pricier lamps, but still quite acceptable and perhaps to be expected given the price for the feature set. I measured this light at 5500K with my Sekonic C-800 and got the following results: CRI - 92.5 CRI (R9: 67.1, R13: 89.5, R15: 84.4) TLCI - 98TM-30 - Rf 91, Rg: 104SSI - 70

GREAT light, bulky power supply

The quality and brightness of this light is great (FYI I used a 32" softbox for the brightness and the finish was as bright as my Neewer 660 panels at maximum setting). It has a very solid construction and a wide color temperature range. Excellent for the price. My only criticism of the power supply is that you have a unit with V mount and controls and then an extra power supply which can be a hassle for wiring if you put the lights high or elsewhere. than the default. Otherwise the light is…

Durable, bright and multifunctional!

I bought the 150w Weeylite Ninja 400 as a more powerful and brighter version of the 80w GVM bulbs I used to buy for my studio. While I like the small, lightweight GVM form factor, I couldn't get the brightness I wanted. Meet the Ninja 400. Not only was I able to double the output power, but I was also able to control the color temperature from 2500K to 8500K with dual-color LEDs. Let's start with the fact that the design is solid - the body is metal, as is the yolk and bracket. With the angle…

Almost Perfect - Lighting and Studio

These lights are great. Its performance is in line with other light sources of this power and is well suited for indoor use. I have 2 small issues I want to point out. First, the controller looks a bit cheap and has an external power supply. It just means one more thing to keep up with and another connection to make. Not a big problem, but it's the only part of the world that seems cheap. Second, the cradle release is plastic and unfolds to unlock. It's very easy to use, but seems unreliable…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Infuriates

Far beyond my expectations.

I build my studio piece by piece. As you should know, lighting is the most important element of any studio setup. This is my second COB/Bowen for the studio. I have to admit this is the MOST light for any studio. From the packaging to the finish of the product, everything is top notch. Let me start with the build quality which is as premium as any more expensive brand you can imagine. The metal body and composite plastic construction are on par with the competition. Because the flashlight is…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Without building instructions

The perfect companion for the Ninja 200. Very bright!

Here's my quick rundown of this light as a working cinematographer. I first had the Ninja 200 and it's a cool little light, but I found I needed more power. Enter the Ninja 400. The CCT range is wider than most flashlights in this form factor or price range. The color is very accurate at both ends of the spectrum of +-<200 Kelvin with a CRI value of 95. Color accuracy is near perfect at +0.8 green, so it tends towards magenta, but I don't see that as a downside. Problem as most LEDs turn…

So close but so rosy

I have a pair of GVM 80w COB bulbs which I like but they don't put out much light with the diffusers. That's why I decided on this universal device. Promising AC/battery powered fixture delivering variable light temperatures at a theoretical brightness of approximately twice the GVM. What's not to like? First the bad news: color temp. As another reviewer pointed out, although this light has the ability to dial from 2500k to 8500k, if you're looking for a daylight setting at 5600k, look…
