I bought this to use on face masks as I couldn't find a 1/4 inch elastic and it turned out to be a really good choice. It's actually more comfortable on the ears than the big elastic, cheaper and easier to fit; Simply thread it through the case and tie it in a knot. The only problem is that the width doesn't match. Some parts of the reel are perfect, but suddenly you come up against thin spots. That hasn't stopped me from buying more rolls of this because it's a great replacement. Just be sure to buy extras in case you need to cut thin sections.
