When my elderly 10 lb dog injured his CCL it cost either $3000 to have surgery or an 8 week treatment stay. There was no talk of aging or surgery. We suffered from the isolation in my bathroom for 9 days until I received this magnificent aviary. I looked at all the options before deciding on this one for the ball joints and raise/lower latch. Better for PawPaw and better for my arthritis and disc disease. I was really helped with setting up my carpeted apartment due to my two limitations, but assembly is mostly easy. I ordered a 32" x 16 panel set. It currently has 9 panels including the gate and will be expanded for him as his condition improves. This was a rescue dog I adopted when I was 11 and was incontinent from the start. He gave up the tummy tuck and we lived in my apartment, which was carpeted and mostly equipped with disposable pee pads, for over a year with limited success.Due to his age and injury, he is not allowed to roam freely and cannot catch up Pee and jump at will.With the set of 16 I give him as much space as a small dog needs.So far we are both very satisfied.
