Review on Flash Furniture Ergonomic Reclining Slide Out Furniture in Home Office Furniture by Renee Warren

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Defective design, serious problem!

I've had this product for less than a year and it was a total failure. The weight of the chair is well below the manufacturer's stated weight (205 lbs). This function is controlled from the right side. This means that when you recline (as intended), an inherent twisting force acts on the control lever side of the backrest. This, combined with a terrible weld, ultimately leads to a very early failure of the product. As I sat back one day, I noticed that the back felt "loose". The bolts used to work on their own, so I figured I'd just tighten the hex nuts that hold the backrest in place. When I pulled. When the covers were removed I noticed that the entire bracket was "loose". Realizing the screws were tight and the backing was loose, I decided to open the vinyl cover. That's when I realized that the bracket that holds the backrest of the chair to the control knob was completely b. The backrest reinforcement broke off. Terrible design. Other downsides to this chair are the cheap upholstery, which almost flattened out in less than a year of use. The vinyl armrests are already cracking. Just a terrible product. a more detailed review That's right, I really liked this chair for the first 4 months. Then it just started to fall apart, since the true quality of the chair is only known after many years of service. I strongly recommend NOT buying this chair unless you have a replacement in less than a year.
