I chose a white cotton towel and after several washes and drying I have to say that it is very comfortable. Cotton terry is medium thick and absorbs moisture well. After washing and drying it seemed to fluff up a bit. As others have noted, the size is slightly different from the standard towel size. This one is a bit narrower and a bit longer than I'm used to. There's nothing wrong with the size and it still dries hands effectively - only the size is slightly different. Extra towels are always handy so I like to add these to my rotation for use in the bathroom or in my son's travel bag. I prefer white ones so they can be washed and bleached in hot water. This towel has withstood multiple machine wash and dry cycles so far and I expect it will hold up for many more. Overall, it's a good choice for bathroom essentials as this towel is white, 100% cotton, soft and absorbent. Other than that, there's not much to say about the plain white towel, although I recommend it for its quality, softness, and absorbency.
