Works after you understand how to program it.
This remote control comes without instructions or battery. I think it should be both. I was only able to figure out how to program it by reading other people's reviews. I can't go backwards, but that doesn't bother me. I just needed a new remote as the original remote that came with the fan fell apart. As I said, this should come with detailed instructions and the battery should be included in the price. I'm giving four stars because I figured out how to work with it.
