My son loves these boots. They look exactly like the photo, with warm lining. They seem really waterproof as my son splashes and stands in puddles and his socks stay dry. The size is correct as far as I know. I bought 1.5 sizes larger than my son normally wears so he can wear more of it. I was concerned they would be too hot for his feet but he seems to enjoy wearing them in milder temperatures (50's-60's). I don't think they are suitable for spring/summer hikes, but they are good for winter and early spring. It's convenient to go to school
