In short, if you are looking for something quick and dirty that does what it says on the tin, Edelweiss+ is your ticket. If however, you are looking for a robust toolset to handle your catalog, or if you are looking for something more complex that integrates with other platforms, this is probably not the tool for you. This software was designed to be easy to use for publishers who want a low cost option that provides decent reporting capabilities. However, the actual reports are limited in terms of customization. When dealing with a catalog that contains thousands of items, the ability to customize a report can prove invaluable. Additionally, there are a number of other shortcomings such as the inability to export reports in XML format, a lack of support for bulk import/export functions (i.e., importing 1000 records at once), etc. For these reasons, I would recommend using this tool as a supplement rather than as a replacement.
