Review on Coolaroo The Original Cooling Elevated Pet Bed - Enhancing Comfort for Small to Large Pets by Heather Jackson

4 stars BUT I wish the case was more durable. I have golden retrievers and have purchased several of these beds over the past few years. The bed itself is good but the comforter is not as strong as I would like. If the ball gets stuck under the bed, the dog can see it from above because the cover is mesh and a bit transparent. My dogs scratch the surface to reach the ball and end up making small holes in it. Small holes quickly become big ones! I've spent hundreds of dollars replacing these cases. I don't know if I'm the only one but the green coating seems a little more durable than the terracotta but still not strong enough. I also like this bed because there are no pressure points on it. A few more notes - take off the label! The tag on the bed is the first thing a dog will gnaw on! Also, the screws will rust if you leave the bed outside and especially if you hose it down regularly. Every time I changed the caps I had to order new screws from Coolaroo. I recently found a product here at Revain called Evapo-Rust that works like a charm! All you have to do is soak the bolts and rods in this stuff and the rust will magically disappear!
