I put a kit in my friend's water heater and one in mine. Both work great. Including 2 thermostats. The one on the right with brown wires turns off the flame when the water temperature reaches 60 degrees Celsius. ECO (Emergency Shutdown) goes to the left and connects to the red wires. This is just for your protection in case the 60 degree Tstat fails. They're held in place by a notched plastic disc that you can rotate until you insert or remove tstats. It's easiest to remove the exhaust trim to apply glue to the insulating cover over the tstats.
