Benefits include: elegant, well-made, cheap (1 AAA battery lasted over a year), and compatible with all Logitech Unifying receivers. The negatives: The biggest issue is that switching to a different Unifying receiver breaks all links to the original Nano receiver. Keep this in mind when linking this mouse to another device, like a keyboard (so that they can share a receiver).
