Whilst it's a good neck protector it doesn't have the flexibility of other similar types of clothing. I bought it thinking it could also be used as a balaclava like the Condor Multiwrap but it is very durable. Just enough to cover your neck. But since it can't rise all the way up to your head, it just sags in the cold, exposing the underside of your chin and all of your ears. It's fine for fresh weather, but if you're in sub-zero temperatures it should only be used in conjunction with full face and ear coverage.
