Well today was the first day it was actually used. I bought this so we could put our yak tank closer to the fire hydrant (no more dragging hoses through two feet of snow!). Stock tank heaters use a lot of electricity and obviously we want something very powerful to protect ours. creatures. So far it works as advertised and appears to be very solidly built! Last night it was -8, windy and snowing and this morning my yaks weren't waiting for me with pitchforks to thaw the tank. If I haven't updated this by April 2017, let's assume it's still working!
