High quality - flexible in cool weather

Having to shake out a 50ft extension on a moderately cold morning isn't the best way to start the day when that alarm clock can be avoided. I was pleasantly surprised that the rolled spool of Iron Forge cable unwound as supplied (pictured) with little effort when I took it to work on that 60 degree morning. The two transparent plastic plugs are well glued. A 12/3 cord is required when powering 50 feet to a Bosch 4100 table saw. I dedicated this cord to myself. A smart purchase that came with…

High quality cable and connector cable

I bought this to use with a magnetic safety switch - I cut off both ends and used them to connect to the I/O switch. I could see the quality of both the cap and the wire and was very impressed. The cover was molded around the wiring so there should be no movement inside, and the wiring was woven copper with a nice shroud. I definitely recommend this brand.

HD SAFER EXTENDER JUST A LITTLE MORE $

Well, it's an extension. It feels well built, it's HEAVY and the idea was to spend a little more money and get a more reliable and durable cable. This works best for electric lawn mowers, heaters, etc., and smaller items as well.

Doesn't stay connected to my blower or any other extension cord!

Tried everything I could think of to make it work and it even got disconnected from another extension I was using. Unfortunately I didn't think of trying it. There was going to be a problem (so maybe the guy smarter than me) and so I missed my return deadline by 3 days! I'm really not happy about it. Bought 2 of the 10 feet and had no problems! I gave them a good try 4 days before returning, so I didn't think there was anything wrong with the longer cable. I think I've learned my lesson. Now I…

Already have 100ft need more

I have the 100ft version but I have cut the other extension 1 too many times. The one I have works well, doesn't frizz and I've never had a problem with the one I've bought before. I have some tools (such as a pressure washer) that require a powerful extension cord to use. For all the reasons stated, I bought the 50ft version. Inexpensive, arrived on time and works perfectly.

Quality purchase

I bought it for indoor use as a portable air conditioner/heater I bought for my apartment. I was told (and I knew) that any device such as an air conditioner/heater, must have an extension cord of the same specifications, capable of handling the electrical load of the unit. This one certainly was and in fact it has a higher rating than the device so I feel very comfortable using it. I liked the price, I will definitely buy more.

Pros
  • Good assembly

  • The list will be long.

Well today was the first day it was actually used. I bought this so we could put our yak tank closer to the fire hydrant (no more dragging hoses through two feet of snow!). Stock tank heaters use a lot of electricity and obviously we want something very powerful to protect ours. creatures. So far it works as advertised and appears to be very solidly built! Last night it was -8, windy and snowing and this morning my yaks weren't waiting for me with pitchforks to thaw the tank. If I haven't…

The cable color and backlight is terrible for indoor use.

I needed a 12 gauge 10ft. Cable to start my electric fireplace. The cable fits the bill and it's hard to find a 12 gauge cable for the home. I hate orange and interior light, but I didn't have a choice. I wish the company would make an equally great indoor cable in brown or black with no lights on the plugs. I need another one but where it is used the orange color and light will be terrible. If I find one I'll buy 2, one to replace this one I bought as it is in the dining room. There could be a
