The day this coffee maker arrived I followed the cleaning instructions before first use (fill water tank, press dry boil button). The water was heated normally, but after heating it did not leave the heating element. I contacted support Mr. Kaffee to see if there was a solution to troubleshoot and left a phone number for a call back. You never called me back. Back to Amazon. Incidentally, the filter cup is advertised as suitable for cone filter no. 2, but it does not fit my Melitta cone filter no. 2; If I could ever make coffee with this machine I would have to cut the paper filter to fit the cup.
