Looks good, good price, easy to use but needs better holes

This great looking device works as it should - good. It minimizes cooking odors and fragrant clouds of steam. Self-cleaning ability is pretty good, and (for lack of a better description) the "oil pan" under the fans (and just above your stove's burners) is easy to remove (with magnetic latches) and wipe down easily. every few months to get rid of the crude oil that inevitably ends up on the hood (I only use Clorox wipes and the stuff wears out if you don't let it dry for a few years and it hardens into a sticky mat). It's a bit noisy though. I find this acceptable (I really like it) but others might not like the background noise of the turbines when cooking their food. Installation was pretty easy for the most part, including routing and connecting the exhaust pipe. However, there was one annoying thing I struggled with and that was screwing this thing to the bottom of the closet. It's not an easy, direct shot with a screwdriver and an extension deep inside the machine, and it took me a while to figure out a way to keep the screws from knocking off the tip of my screwdriver while I was working. my way to the screw holes. Basically I left out a few of the more complicated mounting holes and drilled new ones in more secure but accessible locations. It's not the first time you've experienced something like this. I genuinely believe (and I'm sure many installers and DIYers believe too) that designers should be made to install what they design with commonly available hand tools before releasing products for production/sale. .
