looks good and works very well, and elevator installation.

This device isn't the best, but you can't go wrong. Fewer breakable parts. Shape is key. The corners don't protrude to nudge you when you come around corners. It's simple, looks good and works very well, and installation is a lift and push. Well done. Many Thanks.

the picture is deceptive. If you look under the hood it's not a pun, there is no cap/filter/etc. just a flimsy little filter blocking a noisy fan. We all know that after several cooking processes, the fat settles directly on the hood and cannot be removed. I was wondering why there was no picture in the noisy hood now I know why as nobody would pay real crap for this piece if someone saw a photo of it.

Act. and great design.

I was worried the quality wouldn't be very good as the price was very (very) cheap but as it turns out it works absolutely perfectly and looks very nice in stainless steel. You can stick an energy saving bulb in and it puts out a massive amount of light, way better than the fancy fat nasty old range hood I used before. This has proven to be the best value for money of any kitchen item I own and I appreciate its everyday use. Every day. I highly recommend this item. The seller sent quickly. AAA…

cosmetically good; Functionally ok

I ordered this because it looked very similar to the old Kenmore it replaced and was hoping it would be an easy replacement. . . close but not quite. However, a REAL problem is that the tapered end of the vent shaft was not narrow enough and after much trial and derogatory nicknames proved impossible to fit in the vent. Eventually I just gave up and used pliers to crimp the circumference of the stem to reduce its diameter to start and then used a rubber mallet to push it all the way into the…

Works and looks great.

Bought a home a few years ago and was slowly starting to upgrade the appliances. The oven stayed in the house and worked great. The old GE is 47 years old! I replaced the furnace because when the old one was turned off and allowed to cool, all that was left was a burning smell. So of course when I updated the oven I also had to update the hood deflector. The old bleeder valve was the same brand as the one I bought in stainless steel. It fits and works just as well. The noise ratings are correct

reverse control.

Simple minimalist stainless steel hood. Stainless steel is very light and thin. The switches for the fan and light were swapped, so I swapped them, resulting in the HI/LOW fan designation being reversed. Low is now on the left, high is now on the right. At least I can get by without reading the label. I had to remove and flip the light switch for it to work properly. The switches used in this model are readily available from many vendors, making it easy to find a replacement in the event of a…

Ideal for Round Ducts, Economic Range Hood

If you have a 7" round duct in your home this is ideal. Just buy a damper that slides right over the hood. I couldn't find any of these smaller units with a round duct connection that was available at the local major stores. Only the $200 models had a round stainless steel duct adapter. I bought one just to return it because the expensive ones are too deep, they stick out too much. This is a great economical alternative for those who need stainless steel and a round channel. I noticed the gaps…

Good price on range hoods

My husband and I bought our first house which was in need of a makeover. We were on a tight budget so we wanted a range hood that was powerful and quiet for the price. After doing some research on which hood I wanted, I settled on this one. Must know installation information: * This is just the hood, no damper, no vent shaft * My husband said the installation was easy, just reconnect electrical components, install damper, install vent, screw on (any "DIY" should be able to be doing this this)…

Poor replacement, especially for a vintage 1980's hood

Poor design, especially as a replacement for a vintage 1980's NuTone hood. I used high temp chimney tape prior to installation, (cheap) light is not grease free and not aimed at hob (glows everywhere), fan orientation is not straight "up" but at an angle so noise reflects towards becomes the front of the oven, "Comb/Drip?" on the back of the unit prevents a flush finish with a wall. Bad replacement (for the same brand from 1980, see comparison photo, side view) in this one; Mount location is…
