So we've just started video recording started at work and we tried to get the audio working with the phone and eventually the airfields. Unfortunately, AirPods with standard iPhone hardware do not allow you to record audio while recording videos. An app that lets you do this costs around $15, and the sound isn't perfect. So we ordered this lavalier mic instead. I have to say it works fantastic! Luckily we had an adapter for the iPhone as it is not included. (It has an Android adapter) but we used this mic to record three videos that we are currently editing (I'll see if I get permission to post one here to show how well they work) . The quality is much better than AirPods or just using the phone's microphone. And you don't look like a money brother if you wear it right because it's nice and hidden. keeps the viewer in the moment and doesn't look in your ears.
