Review on Golf Swing Impact Bag by Intech by Peter Sullivan

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I'd rather hit "a lot of balls at the shooting range ".

This Punch Bag is 16" in diameter and 10" in height. It appears to be made from a very durable coated fabric that seems to stand up to repeated use. It has a nylon strap handle at the top which has a zipper underneath which is used to attach towels or other soft materials to fill the bag with for use. There's a plastic anchor loop on the bottom so you can attach it to something hard so you don't have to keep chasing it after you've been hit. I have to admit that I'm an average golfer at best. That being said, my main takeaway from using the bag is that it provides a firm, soft face that can be used for swinging the racquet and simply practicing the swing, relaxing after an injury, etc. While you can probably feel the open or closed side of the stick on impact, I'm not sure there's a huge amount of real feedback one could get in terms of backswing. I certainly disagree with the marketing claim "Use at home to provide the same quality training time as countless balls at the shooting range". There is also the issue of noise. When used outdoors, especially in a relatively densely populated area, the loud noise upon impact can certainly annoy the neighbors. If used indoors, I think you need to use earplugs. There may be other users, more experienced golfers than me, who may know more valuable uses, but as far as I'm concerned, I give it two stars.
