The same product is available at Home Depot for about the same price. The device serves as a quick connection to low voltage wiring for external (outdoor) accent or landscape lighting. The material cost for this product must not exceed $0.30 per item. I can't imagine a supplier being able to sleep through the night charging these costs. Installation is a bit complicated, although you might think it should be easy. I used pliers to gently squeeze the two components together. However, they do not always make the necessary electrical contact when installed in new (different) locations along the main power line. I find that the aluminum contact points are just not as long as they should be. They come with wire nuts for splicing wire connections. I wrapped both ends in electrical tape to protect the leads from moisture and to ensure their electrical integrity at all times.
