These UV lamps are great if you know how to use them. Never put them in the same place as your inventory, it will kill them! These lights are designed for lagoons or outside the area where the fish are. In my 600 gallon tank there are 3 of these behind a 3D wall when I look at my stash, in my 135 gallon African tank they are in the swamp. On my '64 it's in a closed overflow. I have to tell you it works when I have time, 3 in my 600 gallon bottle just worked quickly when a serious bacterial bloom due to setting up and transplanting from a 220 tank water was so milky it was scary. But after running 3 of them for about 36 hours, the tank is already 100% better. UV lamps should be used as needed or maybe every other day etc. My other lights last about a year better than my green kill machines on this schedule. Definitely worth it. Just don't expose your fish to direct light. It's not a MIB where you want them to look at a little luxury thing.
