I bought this along with several outdoor Hue lights (two callas and three lilies). As with the internal sensor, placement is everything, and there's no easy way to temporarily install it - I used gorilla tape to hold it in place while I checked the spots. The mounting kit is interesting and can be used in corners (inside or outside) but flush mounting is not an option and is not adjustable. I would really like Philips to include an adjustable sensor hood, because the sensitivity setting in the app is very good. I wanted to capture traffic to the end of my property, but not on the street in front of my house. I ended up using a piece of black electrical tape to cover about 1/4 inch of the sensor to prevent it from being triggered by passing vehicles. So mounting options and sensitivity aside, this is a great little addition and well worth the investment. .
