My problem with these shoes is that the shoe comes off the sole itself. I can say this because I have had 3 pairs of these shoes. If this pair does the same as the others, I'll say goodbye and look for another manufacturer. The good thing is that they are comfortable and fit very well. The main reason I bought them back is the velcro, I have severe back pain and can't bend down to tie my laces anymore. At over 70 I can say one thing: shoes when I was young have lasted much longer than what is sold today.
