Review on 🔍 Spectra Precision AL28M Auto Level: 28x Magnification, Magnetic Dampened Compensator, Tangent Drives, Stadia Lines, Water Resistant by Troy Rotermund

I chose this level over David White and I regret it. the level itself was probably very good. On first inspection of the tool I noticed that some of the set screws were damaged and looked substandard, I was going to send it back but I needed it immediately so I decided to leave it and hope for the best. worked fine for a few months until the focus adjustment stopped working, something came loose, I believe there is an adjustment screw that adjusts the focus mechanism travel or something. Luckily at this point when I was ready for some internal work, so I used line lasers for that and the thing was in a work box for a long time. Only now, at the end of the year, when the work has slowed down a bit, am I trying to find my way around the spectra. Customer service nightmare, they have no direct line or contact with the company, you have to go to their dealers and their dealers don't want to deal with you unless you've bought an item from them, so now I can try again, and if if I don't succeed, I'll probably throw it away. Lesson learned, if it doesn't look good send it back!
