My newborn is 4 weeks old and until we got this sleeping bag he was waking up to 2am every hour. It was okay for the first week, but we were exhausted. On the first night she slept for five hours at a time and regularly took a four to five hour break between feedings. She took her hands out of the hallway pocket but left them in this one. If not, you can wrap with your arms outstretched. What I like best is that it has an inside pocket for a newborn's weight and another space for her legs when she is older. It will last us forever, unlike most other kids stuff that can only be used for a few months. I absolutely LOVE this product and only wish I had it for my other two kids!
