to import). A confusing term for laypeople is DisplayPort/DisplayLink. The specific product does not use a DisplayPORT (which looks like an HDMI connector) but uses a DisplayLINK USB graphics chip. Too bad they sound very similar. My situation: I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 14, which I like, but it has this horrible micro-HDMI port (commonly seen on smartphones for PC connections). It's a very thin connector and I've always found it interesting to use the USB 3.0 connector to connect to my monitor (DVI connector). My wife bought a Targus DisplayLINK station and it was unstable. The monitor was flashing on and off so I just gave up the idea for a year. I finally made this purchase. First I installed the display drivers according to the instructions in the manual but it didn't work at all. I then uninstalled the drivers and plugged in the device to try it. And it worked great. It looks like the new DisplayLink drivers caused a conflict with my previous drivers. I'm not sure if there is a way to confirm that your laptop already has the appropriate drivers (or not). In any case, the monitor does not blink!
