Let's face it, there is no perfect solution. Putting your laptop on a table makes typing more comfortable, but the screen is too low and you risk hurting your neck over time. When you elevate it with a stand like this, the screen is at its best height, but the keyboard is in the unfortunate position of being too high and at an angle that requires a little work against gravity. I personally would prefer something about half that height and with a less steep angle. You can learn to just look down with your eyes to avoid straining your neck, but there's no way around straining your arms and hands after long periods of typing due to the stand's height and angle. The stand is very well made and beautiful. and durable as possible. Just think about how you are going to use the stand. If you use your laptop primarily for videos etc, or plan to use an external keyboard, the stand will work just fine. If you plan on typing a lot, this isn't an apples-to-apples comparison, but you're much better off getting an external monitor.
