May stain your teeth
After using this toothpaste for several months, I found discoloration on the tops of several deeply ridged teeth. Even after thorough cleaning by the dentist, stains remain. My dental hygienist said she has other patients who have also experienced stains with activated charcoal toothpaste. I contacted Tom and filed a medical incident report as they requested. I asked them to replace three unused tubes of their activated charcoal toothpaste that I still have. They promised to send a replacement product but didn't. They did not respond to repeated requests.
